Delete some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole Pathwei account to get rid of information you would rather we did not hold. This page explains what you can remove yourself, and how to ask us for anything else.

What you can delete yourself, right now

Stopping AI processing without deleting anything. If your concern is that your data is being sent to AI providers rather than that we hold it, you can withdraw your consent in the app under Profile → Privacy → AI processing consent. Within about a minute, our servers stop processing your data through the coaching chat, CV analysis and building, the career test and the interview simulation. Your account and its contents stay exactly as they are, and you can re-grant consent at any time.
Data that expires on its own. The notes Wei keeps from your conversations are given a lifespan of about 90 days and are deleted automatically once they expire. You do not have to do anything, but you can always delete them sooner.
What you need to ask us for
Some things cannot yet be deleted individually from inside the app. Email contact@pathwei.ai and we will do it for you:
- Your psychometric test answers and trait scores, without deleting the rest of your account.
- Your Wei-Sim simulation results.
- Your career paths and progress history.
- Your saved or searched opportunities.
- Anything else you can identify, tell us in your own words what you want removed and we will tell you what we can do.
How to make a request
Email contact@pathwei.ai with "Delete my data" in the subject line, and say what you want removed.
Please write from the email address on your account so we can confirm it is you. If you cannot, tell us the account email and we may ask for something else that verifies your identity. We will never ask for your password.
We will action the request and confirm by email within one calendar month, usually much sooner. If we cannot delete something, we will tell you what and explain why.
One thing we cannot delete on request
Consent records. We keep a record of which version of the privacy policy you accepted, when, and what you agreed to, including if and when you withdrew. These records are append-only: withdrawing consent adds a new entry rather than erasing the old one.
We keep them because data protection law requires us to be able to demonstrate that we had a valid basis for processing your data at the time we did it. Deleting the evidence of your consent would leave us unable to show that. They contain no CV, chat or test content, only the version, the timestamp, and the choices you made.
They are deleted along with everything else if you delete your account.
Get a copy before you delete
If you want to keep a copy of anything before it goes, export first: Profile → Privacy → Request export produces a JSON file with everything we hold about you, including the notes Wei keeps, your credit history, your paths and your saved opportunities. Once data is deleted we cannot recover it.
